so how do yall think it went? tactical changes:
5:45 train, getting on at civic center:
well we ditched the cops! people saw them get on the 5:30 richmond train at 16th/mission and look for the party and stay on the car! luckily because we have such high turnover, they dont know who to look for all the time. we made it to 12th/broadway and back without any freakin pigz.. 20 peeps or so made it, i think.
pizza:
pat brought pizza! awesome- also didnt get busted
post-car event:
15 of us went to the matt gonzalez art show at city hall afterwards.. lots of free booze and food and art and freaks in a beautiful building- a great way to carry momentum on to another event.. maybe we could do this monthly? next month on the F train?? i know these ideas have been batting around this bulletin board for a while, sounds like people are down with them..
definitely my favorite partycar sofar..

Re: this friday reportback!
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:25 AMit was my first party car. i work in emeryville and live in the city, which typically makes party car the wrong way for me. but that friday i decided to work from home.
my impression -- kinda fun, but also a little lame. mostly i think there just weren't enough people to have a party atmosphere that really took over the car. on the way out the car was mostly empty, and on the way back we were totally overwhelmed by the normal bart riders. i had fun and the people i met were friendly, but i was hoping for a bit more. i think keeping it to once a month would help turnout. i could make it a point to work from home that day for it. -

Re: this friday reportback!
Tue, March 16, 2004 - 1:26 AMoh yeah, one more thing. getting on and off at the same station sucks. bart charges you a ridiculous fare for that (something like $4-$5). if there's some organized event afterwards, better to make the starting and ending station at least one apart.
